Blyth Brussels Crusaders have a good weekend of home games

With playoffs on the horizon (and already underway for some Huron Heat teams), the Blyth Brussels Crusaders have been keeping busy on local ice.
On Sunday, Jan. 22, the U11 Local League Burgundy Crusaders shutout the Goderich Sailors White team by a score of 7-0, while the U11 Rep team beat the Central Perth Predators by a score of 4-2 and the U11 Local League Black team lost by a score of 11-0. All three games were played in Blyth.
Also that day, the U8 Black Crusaders hosted the Goderich Sailors in Blyth, but a score was not kept for that game. The U18 Local League Crusaders travelled to Listowel for a game against the Cyclones and beat the home team by a score of 9-4.
On Saturday, Jan. 21, the U6 team hosted Central Perth in Brussels, but a score was not kept for that game. The U11 Rep team went to Wingham for a game with the Ironmen and won by a score of 3-0.
The U9 Crusaders lost to the Zurich Thunder in Blyth by a score of 5-4, while the U7 Black and Burgundy teams both played Wallace Sabres teams, but scores were not kept for those games.
The U15 Rep Crusaders beat the Goderich Sailors in Blyth by a score of 3-0, while the U13 Local League team beat the Huron-Bruce Blizzard by a score of 3-0 in Brussels and the U13 Rep team beat the Walkerton Capitals, also in Brussels, by a score of 6-1.
That night, the U21 team welcomed the Hanover Falcons to Blyth and beat them by a score of 3-2.
On Jan. 20, the U8 Burgundy team played the Sailors in Goderich, but a score was not kept for that game. The U21 team played the Mid-Huron Huskies in Clinton, but lost by a score of 3-2.
On Jan. 19, the U15 Local League team was in Arthur to play the Vipers, but lost by a score of 7-4, while the U18 Rep team played the Lakers in Shallow Lake, coming back with a 6-0 win.
On Jan. 18, the U13 Local League Crusaders played the Meteors in Mitchell, losing by a score of 2-0, while the U11 Local League Burgundy Crusaders also lost to the Meteors in Mitchell by a score of 4-3.
That night, the U13 Rep team played the Goderich Sailors in Blyth and lost by a score of 3-1.
On Jan. 17, the U15 Rep team welcomed the Drayton Defenders to Brussels and won by a score of 3-2, while the U18 Local League Crusaders lost to the Capitals in Walkerton by a score of 4-3. On Jan. 16, the U15 Local League team beat the Mid-Huron Huskies in Blyth by a score of 3-1.
On Jan. 23, the U15 Local League Crusaders took on the Wingham Ironmen and the U18 Rep team played the South Bruce Blades, both in Blyth, but scores were unavailable at press time. The U15 Rep team was in Seaforth to play the Mid-Huron Huskies, but a score was unavailable at press time.
On Jan. 24, the U18 Local League team took on the Mid-Huron Huskies in Brussels, but a score was unavailable at press time. Then, on Jan. 25, the U13 Local League Crusaders and the U13 Rep Crusaders were both in action in Blyth, taking on the Mid-Huron Huskies and the Huron-Bruce Blizzard, respectively, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time.
Looking ahead, the U11 Rep team will play the West Grey Warriors in Brussels on Jan. 27, followed by the U21 team playing the Mid-Huron Huskies, also in Brussels. The U18 Rep team will be on the road in Clinton that night to take on the Mid-Huron Huskies.
On Saturday, Jan. 28, the U6 Crusaders will welcome the Goderich Sailors to Brussels and the U7 Black team will be in Seaforth to play the Mid-Huron Huskies.
The U9 Crusaders will play the Mid-Huron Huskies in Blyth and the U7 Burgundy team will welcome the Howick Hornets to Brussels. The U11 Local League Burgundy team will play the Mid-Huron Huskies in Clinton and the U13 Local League team will travel to Kincardine for a game against the Kinucks.
That night, the U21 team will host the Shallow Lake Lakers in Blyth.
On Sunday, Jan. 29, the U8 Black and Burgundy teams will welcome two Mitchell Meteors teams to Blyth for half-ice games, while the U21 team will play the Huron-Bruce Blizzard in Ripley.
The U11 Rep team will play the Mitchell Meteors in Blyth, while the U15 Rep team will play the AEMHA Ice Dogs in Chesley and the U18 Rep team will play the Sailors in Goderich.
On Jan. 30, the U15 Local League Crusaders will welcome the Walkerton Capitals to Blyth, followed by a game between the U18 Rep team and the Huron-Bruce Blizzard, also at the Blyth and District Community Centre.
To close out the month, on Jan. 31, the U9 team will play the Ironmen Yellow team in Wingham, while the U18 Local League Crusaders will welcome the Ironmen from Wingham to Brussels.
On Feb. 2, the U15 Local League Crusaders will be in Wingham to take on the Ironmen. The next day, the U15 Rep team will take part in the St. Marys Rock Tournament, opening with a game against the host St. Marys Rock, followed by a game with the South Kent Lightning.
Also on Feb. 3, the U11 Local League Black team will play the Sailors in Goderich, while the U21 team will play the Huron-Bruce Blizzard in Brussels.
On Feb. 4, the U9 Crusaders will travel to Hanover for the Canadian Tire Cup Tournament. That day, the U15 Rep team will continue tournament play, taking on the Ilderton Jets that night.
The U6 team will travel to Howick to play the Hornets, while the U8 Black and Burgundy teams will play the Stars in Seaforth, the U7 Burgundy team will host the Mid-Huron Huskies in Blyth and the U13 Local League team will play the Kincardine Kinucks Superheat team in Brussels.
