Blyth Brussels Crusaders teams look ahead to weekend tournaments

The Blyth Brussels Crusaders teams have a busy week ahead, with many of them travelling to tournaments this weekend.
The U15 Local League team will take part in the Bradford Blue and Gold Classic, with their first game scheduled for Jan. 13 against the Kanata Blazers. The U11 Local League Black team will head to Welland for the Ernie Clayton House League Tournament, beginning their slate of games with a contest against the Mid-Huron Huskies.
The U6 Crusaders will head to Kurtzville for the Wallace Bruce Memorial Funday Jamboree. There, they will be joined by the U7 Black and Burgundy teams, while the U8 Black and Burgundy teams will be in Listowel for the Wallace Fun Days tournament.
In non-tournament action, the U13 Rep team will face the Mid-Huron Huskies in Clinton, while the U9 team will host the Howick Hornets in Brussels.
The U11 Rep team will be at the Elma-Logan Arena to play the Central Perth Predators and the U15 Local League Crusaders will play the Hornets in Howick.
The U18 Local League team will head to Mitchell for a game against the Meteors.
On Saturday, Jan. 14, the U11 Local League Black Crusaders will play the Warkworth Bulldogs in their tournament, while the U15 Local League team will also continue its tournament action with a game against the Kanata Cookie Monsters. The U15 team will then play the Cumberland Dukes later that day and the U11 team will play the Waterford Yellow team.
The U13 Rep team will play the Kinucks in Kincardine in non-tournament action, while the U9 Crusaders will host the Mitchell Meteors Black team in Brussels. The Brussels, Morris and Grey Community Centre ice will then host a game between the U21 Crusaders and the Central Perth Predators.
On Sunday, Jan. 15, the U9 team will travel to Zurich for a game with the Thunder, while the U21 team will play the Capitals in Walkerton.
The U11 Local League Burgundy team is also in action that night, hosting the Listowel Cyclones in Blyth.
On Monday, Jan. 16, the U15 Local League Crusaders will play the Mid-Huron Huskies in Blyth. The next day, the U9 Crusaders will welcome the Zurich Thunder to Brussels, as will the U15 Rep team with the Drayton Defenders.
The U18 Local League Crusaders will be on the road, travelling to Walkerton for a game against the Capitals.
On Wednesday, Jan. 18, the U13 Local League team will play the Meteors in Mitchell, while the U11 Local League Burgundy team will also travel to Mitchell to play the Meteors.
The U13 Rep Crusaders will host the Goderich Sailors in Blyth that night as well.
On Jan. 19, the U15 Local League team will travel to Arthur for a game with the Vipers, while the U18 Rep team will play the Shallow Lake Lakers, also on the road.
Then, on Friday, Jan. 20, the U8 Burgundy team will head to Goderich for a game with the Sailors, while the U21 team will play the Mid-Huron Huskies in Clinton that night as well.
Looking back, on Jan. 6, the U11 Local League Burgundy team played St. Thomas as part of a tournament there, but a score was unavailable at press time.
The U15 Local League team lost to the Central Perth Predators by a score of 4-0 on the road, while the U15 Rep Crusaders beat the Mitchell Meteors by a score of 4-1.
The U21 Crusaders were on the road for a game against the Central Perth Predators, which ended in a 4-4 tie.
On Jan. 7, the U7 Black team travelled to Howick for a game with the Hornets and the U6 team played Central Perth on the road, but scores were not kept for those games.
The U11 Local League Burgundy team played the Mitchell Meteors as part of the tournament held in St. Marys, followed by a game with the host team, but scores were unavailable at press time.
The U7 Burgundy team played the Listowel Cyclones in Brussels, but a score was not kept for that game.
The U15 Local League team hosted the Central Perth Predators in Brussels and that game ended in a 4-4 tie.
The U13 Local League team also played to a tie against the Mid-Huron Huskies in Hensall, with the teams both scoring two goals.
The U21 Crusaders were in Arthur to play the Vipers, winning the game by a score of 3-0.
On Sunday, Jan. 8, the U8 Black and Burgundy teams took on the Zurich Thunder and Goderich Sailors, respectively, in Blyth, but scores were not kept for those games.
The U11 Local League Black team was scheduled to play the Sailors in Goderich, but that game was cancelled.
The U11 Rep Crusaders played to a 2-2 tie with the Mid-Huron Huskies in Blyth, while the U15 Rep team beat the Sailors in Goderich by a score of 4-0.
On Monday, Jan. 9, the U11 Local League Black team beat the Mid-Huron Huskies in Seaforth by a score of 6-3, while the U11 Rep team lost to the Minto Mad Dogs by a score of 8-0.
The U13 Rep Crusaders beat the Central Perth Predators on the road by a score of 3-0, while the U21 team lost to the Shallow Lake Lakers by a score of 5-3.
On Jan. 10, the U13 Local League Crusaders played the Ironmen in Wingham and the U18 Local League team welcomed the Mid-Huron Huskies to Brussels, but scores were unavailable at press time.
The next day, the U9 team played the Mid-Huron Huskies in Bayfield, while the U13 Local League team played the Mid-Huron Huskies in Blyth and the U15 Rep team played the Rams in Mount Forest, but scores were unavailable at press time.
On Jan. 12, the U18 Rep team played the Mid-Huron Huskies in Hensall, but a score was unavailable at press time.
