Blyth Brussels Crusaders to play in tournaments this weekend

The Blyth Brussels Crusaders are facing off against some stiff competition at local tournaments this week.
While scores were unavailable as of press time, the U18 Rep Crusaders were set to take on the Hanover Falcons on Nov. 15 as part of the U18 Regional Silver Stick and the U13 Rep Crusaders were facing off against the Kincardine Kinucks in the U13 Legion Tournament in Lucknow on Nov. 17. This weekend, starting Friday, the U11 Burgundy Crusaders will be taking part in the Mid-Huron Tournament in Clinton while the U11 Black Crusaders will compete in the the Bill Carnochan Memorial Tournament in Seaforth.
In action over the past week, the U13 Local League Crusaders posted a 5-1 win over the Central Perth Predators on the road on Nov. 7. Also that day, the U15 Local League Crusaders were downed by the Arthur Vipers 4-2 in Blyth, and the U18 Rep Crusaders fell to the Listowel Cyclones, also in Blyth.
On Nov. 8, the West Grey Warriors handed a convincing 10-4 defeat to the U11 Rep Crusaders in Durham.
The Wingham Ironmen edged out the U13 Rep Crusaders by a score of 2-1 in Blyth on Nov. 9.
On Friday, Nov. 11, the South Bruce Blades White team doubled the U11 Burgundy Crusaders in a 6-3 decision in Brussels. The U21 Crusaders were also at home that day, hosting the Arthur Vipers, who edged out the Crusaders 5-4. On the road that day, the U11 Black Crusaders shutout the Goderich Sailors White by a score of 1-0, while the U13 Local League team traveled to Howick for a game against the Hornets. No score was available as of press time.
The U11 Burgundy Crusaders posted a road win with a 3-0 decision over the Mid-Huron Huskies on Nov. 12. Several other Crusaders squads were on the ice that day, including the U7 Burgundy and Black squads, the U6 squad and the U15 Local League squad, however those scores were unavailable as of press time.
On Sunday, Nov. 13, the U11 Black Crusaders claimed a road victory in a high-scoring 7-5 match against the Zurich Thunder, while the U11 Rep Crusaders were on the wrong side of a 9-3 decision against the Minto Mad Dogs in Blyth. The U8 Burgundy and Black squads also played that day, however scores were unavailable as of press time.
The U18 Rep Crusaders were the only squad in action on Nov. 14, however a score was unavailable as of press time. Similarly, the U18 Local League Crusaders hosted the Mt. Forest Rams in Brussels on Nov. 15, but a score was unavailable as of press time.
The U13 Rep Crusaders hosted the Drayton Defenders on Nov. 16 while U15 Local League Crusaders traveled to Goderich to take on the Sailors on Nov. 17. Scores were not available for either game as of press time.
In action on Friday, Nov. 18 are the U11 Black Crusaders in Seaforth as part of the Carnochan tournament at 4 p.m. when they will face off against the Listowel Cyclones. The U18 Rep Crusaders will face off against Huron-Bruce in Wingham as part of the Silver Stick tournament.
On Saturday, the U11 Black Crusaders will be back in action against the Mid-Huron Huskies 3 squad at 8 a.m. and Central Perth at 1 p.m. as part of the Carnochan tournament while the U18 Rep Crusaders will take on the South Huron Sabres in the Silver Stick tournament.
Non-tournament action that day includes the U7 Black Crusaders taking on the Mid-Huron Huskies in Brussels at 11 a.m., while the U7 Burgundy Crusaders take on the Mid-Huron Huskies at the same time. The U15 Rep Crusaders will face off against the Mount Forest Rams at 11:30 a.m. in Blyth, where the U21 Crusaders will host the Central Perth Predators at 7 p.m.
On Sunday, Nov. 20, the U8 Black Crusaders and U8 Burgundy Crusaders will host teams from Mitchell in Blyth at 3 p.m. while the U11 Rep Crusaders will host the Mt. Forest Rams in Blyth at 6 p.m. The U15 Rep Crusaders are on the road that day to take on Shallow Lake at 6 p.m.
The only game on the docket for Nov. 21 is the U18 Rep Crusaders in a regular-season match against the Wingham Ironmen in Blyth at 9 p.m.
On Tuesday, Nov. 22, the U15 Rep Crusaders will host the Mid-Huron Huskies C squad in Brussels at 7 p.m.
