Blyth Brussels U13 Rep Crusaders undefeated in playoffs

The U13 Local League Blyth Brussels Crusaders are still undefeated in their playoff run, posting four wins and two ties thus far.
The locals beat the Wingham Ironmen by a score of 6-0 on March 5, which came just a day after their 4-3 overtime win over the Goderich Sailors. The team then played the Ironmen again in Blyth on March 8, but a score was unavailable at press time.
They are next in action against the Mid-Huron Huskies in Hensall on March 15, the Minto Mad Dogs in Palmerston on March 16 and the Walkerton Capitals in Walkerton on March 19.
The U11 Rep Crusaders won their playoff game over the Wingham Ironmen on March 5 in Wingham by a score of 3-2, but lost to the AEMHA Ice Dogs on the road on March 2 by a score of 9-1.
The team next took on the Wingham Ironmen again on March 9 in Wingham, but a score was unavailable at press time, followed by a contest with the Mid-Huron Huskies in Brussels on March 14.
The U11 Local League Black team lost their March 5 playoff game against the South Bruce Blades White team in Blyth by a score of 8-1 and against the Listowel Cyclones on March 1 in Listowel by a score of 7-1.
The team had playoff contests on March 6 against the South Bruce Blades White team in Teeswater and the Mid-Huron Huskies on March 7 in Brussels, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time.
The U11 Local League Burgundy team won its playoff game with the Central Perth Predators on March 5 in Blyth and then took on the Zurich Thunder on the road on March 6, though a score was unavailable at press time. The team then heads to Seaforth for a game with the Mid-Huron Huskies on March 13.
The U13 Rep Crusaders won their March 4 playoff game over the Wingham Ironmen in Brussels by a score of 7-1, which was welcome news after the team’s March 1 playoff loss to the Drayton Defenders in Blyth by a score of 5-2.
The team then played the Kincardine Kinucks in playoff action on March 9 in Kincardine, but a score was unavailable at press time.
The U15 Rep team beat the Huron-Bruce Blizzard in playoff action in Blyth on March 4 by a score of 3-2. The team then played the Walkerton Capitals on the road on March 6 and the Hanover Falcons in Brussels on March 7, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time.
The Crusaders then head to Shallow Lake for a game with the Lakers on March 11.
The U15 Local League Crusaders played the Mid-Huron Huskies in playoff action on March 4 in Brussels, the Wingham Ironmen on March 6 in Blyth and the Ironmen again in Wingham on March 9, but scores were unavailable for those games at press time.
The Crusaders next play a home-and-home series with the Mount Forest Rams on March 10 and March 11 in Brussels and Mount Forest, respectively.
The U18 Rep team won its March 5 game with the AEMHA Ice Dogs on the road by a score of 4-1 and then played the Hanover Falcons in Blyth on March 6, but a score was unavailable at press time.
On March 4, the U18 Local League team lost its playoff game with the Mid-Huron Huskies in Clinton by a score of 4-2. The team was once again in action with back-to-back games in Brussels against the Walkerton Capitals on March 7 and the Mitchell Meteors on March 8, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time.
The team takes on the Meteors again in Mitchell on March 12, followed by a March 17 game with the Mid-Huron Huskies and a March 19 game with the Arthur Vipers, both in Brussels.
The U21 team tied its playoff game with the Hanover Falcons on the road on March 4 by a score of 3-3. The team took on the Shallow Lake Lakers in Blyth on March 5, but a score was unavailable at press time.
The team is back in playoff action against the Walkerton Capitals on March 11 in Blyth and then against the Shallow Lake Lakers on the road on March 12.
On Sunday, March 5, the U8 Burgundy team played the Howick Hornets in Blyth, but a score was not kept for that game. On March 4, the U7 Burgundy team took on the Central Perth on the road, the U8 Black team played the Listowel Cyclones in Brussels, the U7 Black team played Central Perth in Brussels and the U6 team played the Meteors in Mitchell, but scores were not kept for those games. The U9 team hosted Goderich in Blyth that night, but suffered a 14-0 loss.
This weekend, the U13 Rep and Local League teams will be in Goderich for Young Canada Week. The Local League team will open its tournament on March 10 with a game against the Wingham Ironmen, while the Rep team will play Central Perth. Also that day, the U9 team will travel to Zurich for a game with the Thunder.
On Saturday, March 11, the U13 Local League team continues its Young Canada Week play with games against the Aylmer Flames Red team and the TCDMHA Rebels. The U13 Rep team will play the Tillsonburg Lightning that day.
The U6 team will travel to Seaforth that day for a game with the Mid-Huron Huskies and the U8 Burgundy team will host the Listowel Cyclones in Brussels. The U7 Black and Burgundy teams will host two Wingham Ironmen teams that day in Brussels.
On Sunday, March 12, the U13 Rep team will continue its Young Canada Week journey with a game against the East Lambton Eagles and the U8 Black team will host the Zurich Thunder in Blyth.
On March 13, the U15 Rep Crusaders will make their way to Goderich for their Young Canada Week tournament, taking on the Wingham Ironmen in their first tournament game that day, followed by games against the Hanover Falcons and the Kincardine Kinucks on March 14.
