Brussels Optimists raise $52,000 for community centre with auction

If you were looking for anyone who lives between Walton and Ethel on Saturday night, there’s a good chance they were at the Brussels Optimist Spring Auction at the Brussels, Morris and Grey Community Centre. The event was packed and helped to raise money for the proposed renovations to the structure. The group pledged $151,000 to the project and early estimates have the Optimists raising approximately one-third of that during the event. (Denny Scott photo)
