Brussels Tigers catching up to Wingham Hitmen in fastball standings

The Brussels Tigers, defending champions in the Huron County Fastball League, are closing the gap on the league-leading Wingham Hitmen thanks to a pair of wins over the last week.
As of Tuesday, the Tigers had a record of seven wins and two losses, putting them behind the Hitmen, who have a record of seven wins and one loss, with both playing on Thursday evening.
The rest of the league, in order of place, include the Belmore Stingers (four wins, one loss), the Milverton AW Millwrights (four wins, two losses), the Fullarton A’s (three wins, five losses), the Mitchell Mets (three wins, three losses), the Sebringville Sting (two wins, three losses), the Wroxeter Rippers, (one win, four losses), the Monkton Muskrats (one win, six losses) and the Goderich Grizzlies (eight losses).
On Monday, the Tigers visited the Goderich Grizzlies, handing the Grizzlies their eighth-straight loss, though a score was unavailable as of press time. The game was rescheduled from July 10.
On Sunday, July 10, the Brewers downed the Fullarton A’s by a score of 10-2 in five innings. Wingham was set to take on Mitchell that day, however the game was postponed with a make-up date yet to be determined. July 8 saw two games, as the Monkton Muskrats posted a 13-4 win over Goderich, while Wingham downed Fullarton 3-2 in Wingham.
On July 7, Milverton posted a 14-4 win over Walton. Mitchell was also set to visit Belmore, however that game was postponed.
July 6 saw two games as Brussels downed Mitchell 7-4 in eight innings in Mitchell while Wroxeter fell 5-1 to Wingham in Wingham.
On July 5, Belmore downed Walton 13-3 in five innings.
On Thursday, July 14, the Hitmen were scheduled to face-off against the Milverton AW Millwrights in Wingham, while the Tigers were set to host the Belmore Stingers. The third-place Walton Brewers were also set to play on Thursday in Mitchell against the Mets.
The weekend promises to be an exciting one with six games scheduled between tonight, July 15, and Sunday night.
This evening, Monkton hosts Goderich, starting at 8 p.m., Sebringville hosts Fullarton at 8 p.m. and Wroxeter hosts Mitchell at 8:30 p.m. On Sunday, Walton will visit Rostock to take on Sebringville at 1 p.m. Two hours later, Sebringville will host the Goderich Grizzlies at 3 p.m.
Wroxeter will also host Belmore that day with the game set for 2 p.m.
On Monday, July 18, Monkton will host Milverton. On Tuesday, July 19, Wingham will host Walton at 8 p.m.
