Brussels Tigers climb into second in Fastball League standings

The Brussels Tigers have moved into second place in the Huron County Fastball League standings, maintaining a record of 6-1 with 12 points, just behind the still undefeated Belmore Stingers, who are 7-0.
The Milverton Millwrights are in third place with a record of 5-0 and 10 points, followed by the Sebringville Sting in fourth place with a record of 5-2 and the fifth-place Wingham Hitmen, who also have a record of 5-2 and 10 points.
The Mitchell Mets are in sixth place with six points and a record of 3-4, followed by the Monkton Muskrats, who also have six points and a record of 3-4. The Fullarton A’s are 2-3 in eighth place with four points, followed by the ninth-place Brussels Bangers who are 1-7-1 with three points and the Walton Brewers in 10th place with a record of 1-5-1 and three points.
The Goderich Grizzlies finally won their first game of the season, earning them a step up into 11th place with a record of 1-7 and two points, with the Wroxeter Rippers occupying the 12th and final spot in the standings with their record of 1-5 and two points.
The Grizzlies earned their first win of the season over the Brussels Bangers on June 30 in Goderich by a score of 7-0.
This came after three games on June 28. The Belmore Stingers beat Monkton in Belmore by a score of 12-8, while the Tigers hosted the Walton Brewers in Brussels, winning by a score of 9-1, and the Wingham Hitmen beat the Mets in Mitchell by a score of 19-10.
After a brief break over the Canada Day long weekend, teams were due to be back in action on Wednesday night, July 5. Sebringville was due to travel to Belmore to play the Stingers, while Monkton was to go to Mitchell for a contest with the Mets, the Wingham Hitmen were scheduled to host the Fullarton A’s and the Tigers were due to welcome the Wroxeter Rippers to Brussels, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time.
Tonight on July 7, the Goderich Grizzlies will host the Mitchell Mets, while the Belmore Stingers will travel to Monkton for a game with the Muskrats, the Brussels Bangers will make their way to Wroxeter for a game with the Rippers and the Milverton Millwrights were due to head to Wingham to play the Hitmen.
On July 9, Belmore will play the Hitmen in Wingham, while the Walton Brewers will be in Wroxeter for a game with the Rippers and the Fullarton A’s will play the Goderich Grizzlies in Zurich.
The Fullarton A’s will play again on July 11, heading to Walton for a game with the Brewers, the same night the Grizzlies will welcome the Monkton Muskrats to Goderich.
The Brussels Bangers will be in Belmore for a game with the Stingers on July 12. Also that night, the Wingham Hitmen will be in Brussels to play the Tigers and the Wroxeter Rippers will be in Mitchell for a game with the Mets.
On July 13, the Sebringville Sting will be in Milverton for a game with the Millwrights, while, on July 14, the Goderich Grizzlies will be in Sebringville for a game against the Sting.
