Huron Heat teams look ahead to 2023

The Huron Heat girls’ hockey organization is winding down its year and looking ahead to 2023.
Tonight, Dec. 23, the U18C Huron Heat will be in Seaforth to host the Lucan Irish, as the organization’s last game before the Christmas break.
Teams are back in action again on Tuesday, Dec. 27 with two U9B Heat teams in half-ice action at the Seaforth and District Community Centre, taking on teams from Waterloo.
The next night, on Dec. 28, the U11C Heat will be on the road in Woodstock to take on the Wildcats.
The final game on the Heat calendar for 2022 will be the U11HL Heat in Blyth to welcome the Woodstock Wildcats HL White team.
Games begin again in 2023 with home games on Tuesday, Jan. 3. The U15C Heat take on the St. Marys Rock in Seaforth, while the U18C Heat will play the Mitchell Meteors at the Central Huron Community Complex in Clinton.
There’s one game on the schedule for Jan. 5, with the U11C Heat hosting the Central Perth Predators at the Blyth and District Community Centre.
On Friday, Jan. 6, a number of Heat teams will head to Woodstock for a tournament there. The U11HL, U11B, U13B and U15C teams will all be playing in Woodstock that weekend.
As for the week that was, the Huron Heat had a rough day on Sunday, Dec. 18. The U13C Heat lost by a score of 3-1 to the South Huron Sabres in Clinton, while the U15BB team tied the Sarnia Lady Sting at two, also in Clinton.
The U15C Heat lost 1-0 to the Woodstock Wildcats in Clinton.
The Senior team played the Stratford Aces in Hensall and the U13B team played the Collingwood Lightning in Goderich, but scores were unavailable at press time.
On Dec. 17, the U18C Heat team played two Silver Stick Tournament games in Saugeen Shores, against the TCDMHA Rebels and the Kincardine Kinucks, but scores were unavailable at press time.
The U9B teams took on the London Devilettes in half-ice action, while the U9HL White and Black teams played the North Middlesex Junior Stars, also in half-ice action. Both games were in Seaforth.
The U11C Heat played the Stratford Aces in Blyth and shutout the visitors by a score of 2-0. The U11B Heat beat the Lucan Irish in Seaforth by a score of 3-1, while the U15BB Heat won on the road against the Bluewater Hawks, beating them by a score of 2-0.
The U18BB Heat hosted the Lambton Attack in Clinton on Saturday night, winning by a score of 1-0.
On Friday, Dec. 16, the U18C team played the host Saugeen Shores Storm in the Silver Stick Tournament, though a score was unavailable at press time.
The U11HL team hosted the St. Marys Rock in Blyth, but a score was unavailable at press time.
On Dec. 15, the U15BB Heat team was in Blyth to welcome the Walkerton Capitals, but the visitors won the game by a score of 2-0.
On Dec. 13, the U15C Heat tied the West Oxford Inferno at two in Seaforth.
