After battling back and avoiding a sweep in the Western Ontario Athletic Association (WOAA) Senior A.A. Finals, the Clinton Radars fell in five games to the Seaforth Centenaires on Saturday night, ending the Battle of Highway 8.
The season ended for both teams on Saturday night at the Seaforth and District Community Centre, when the Centenaires beat the Radars by a score of 2-1.
The Radars were able to stay alive on Friday night, using the Central Huron Community Complex home ice to their advantage, powering them to a convincing 6-1 win over Seaforth, the Radars’ first win of the series.
This came after the Radars suffered 4-1 and 5-1 losses on March 25 and 26, respectively, in games two and three of the series, after losing the first game of the best-of-seven series by a score of 1-0 on March 19 in Seaforth.
