U18 BB Huron Heat twice defeat St. Thomas Panthers in playoffs

The U18 BB Huron Heat have won both of their playoff games thus far, defeating the St. Thomas Panthers twice in the past week.
The team won its March 1 game by a score of 2-1 on the road and then welcomed the Panthers to Goderich on March 5 for a game that ended with a 3-2 win for the home team.
The U18 C Heat team has won its last four playoff games, beating the Sarnia Lady Sting by a score of 3-0 on Feb. 24, the London Devilettes by a score of 3-0 both times in back-to-back games on Feb. 26 and March 1 and then the St. Thomas Panthers on March 5 by a score of 4-2.
They will now face the South Huron Sabres on March 11 in the team’s next playoff contest.
The U13 C Heat beat the B.A.D. Blazers on the road on March 5 by a score of 1-0 in their playoff game. The two teams will square off again on March 12 in Clinton.
The U11 B Heat began their playoff run on the road with a 1-1 tie with the St. Marys Rock. The two teams were set to play again on both March 7 and March 8, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time.
The U11 C Heat haven’t been in action since Feb. 26 when they ended their game with the Wallaceburg Lakers in a scoreless tie. The Heat team plays the Lakers again in Wallaceburg on March 11 in their next playoff game.
The U11 HL Heat tied the Mooretown Lady Flags on March 5, with neither team able to find the back of the net. The team next takes on the B.A.D. Blazers on the road on March 12.
The U15 C Heat have won all eight of their scheduled playoff games, most recently defeating the Woodstock Wildcats on Feb. 25 in local playoff game action.
On Sunday, March 5, the U11 C Heat lost their Mitchell tournament game against the Central Perth Predators by a score of 1-0. The U15 C team hosted a playdown in Clinton with the Lucknow/Wingham 86ers and the Senior team played Exeter in a playdown in Hensall, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time.
On Saturday, March 4, the U9 HL White Heat lost by a score of 2-1 to the Stoney Creek Sabres and then by a score of 8-3 to the Bluewater Hawks in Mitchell tournament action.
That day, the U11 C Heat won their game with the Lucan Irish in Mitchell tournament action by a score of 1-0, followed by a 3-0 win over the Owen Sound Ice Hawks. The U18 BB Huron Heat won their playdown over the Stratford Aces on the road by a score of 1-0, while the U13 B Heat lost their playdown contest with the St. Marys Rock on the road by a score of 2-0.
The U9 B Heat played the South Huron Sabres on the road that day, but a score was not kept for that game.
To open Mitchell tournament action on March 3, the U11 C Heat tied the Central Perth Predators 1-1 before beating the Grey Highlands Shooting Stars by a score of 1-0. Also that day, the U9 HL White Heat opened their Mitchell tournament action with a 4-2 win over the Ilderton Jets.
On Thursday, March 2, the U11 C Heat won their playdown with the South Huron Sabres in Blyth by a score of 1-0, while the U18 BB Heat won their playdown, also with the South Huron Sabres in Blyth, by a score of 2-1. That night the U15 C Heat were on the road for a playdown against the South Huron Sabres, but a score was unavailable at press time.
On March 1, the U18 C Heat beat the Devilettes in London by a score of 3-0, while the U18 BB Heat beat the St. Thomas Panthers on the road by a score of 2-1.
On Feb. 28, the U9 HL White and Black teams played each other and tied 2-2 in Seaforth, while the U11 B Heat won their playdown against the Stratford Aces in Seaforth by a score of 6-0. The U13 C Heat ended their playdown in Seaforth with the St. Marys Rock in a scoreless tie.
The U15 BB and U15 C Heat were both on the road for playdowns against the South Huron Sabres and St. Marys Rock, respectively, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time.
On March 6, the U13 B Heat were on the road for a playdown with the St. Marys Rock and the U18 C Heat hosted the South Huron Sabres for a playdown in Clinton, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time.
The U15 C Heat took on the St. Marys Rock in a playdown in Seaforth on March 7, but a score was unavailable at press time. On March 8, the U18 C Heat were on the road for a playdown with the Mitchell Meteors, but a score was unavailable at press time.
On March 9, the U13 B Heat hosted a playdown with the St. Marys Rock in Blyth, the U11 C Heat welcomed the Upper Maitland Mustangs for an Ontario Women’s Hockey Association (OWHA) playdown in Blyth and the U18 C Heat took on the Mitchell Meteors in an OWHA playdown in Seaforth, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time.
On March 10, the U15 C Heat will take part in the Toronto Leaside March Break Madness tournament, first playing the Buffalo Bison and then the Leaside Wildcats in tournament action. Also that night, the U13 B Heat will host the St. Marys Rock for a playdown in Seaforth.
The next day, the U15 C Heat will take on another Toronto Leaside team in their tournament and on March 12, the U18 C Heat will host a playdown with the Lucknow/Wingham 86ers in Clinton.
