William "Bill" Patterson

 

Mr. William “Bill” Patterson of Blyth, passed away peacefully at Clinton Public Hospital, on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019. He was in his 88th year.

 

Bill was the beloved husband of the late June (Bolger) Patterson and the loving father of Cheryl MacLeod, Goderich; Dale and Ron Jamieson, Alberta; Deb and Casey Verwey, Auburn; Rick and Darlene Patterson, Dungannon; Heather and John Verwey, Auburn and Audrey Patterson and Murray Thompson, Clinton. He was the stepfather of the late Murray and Sue Bolger, Vanastra; Karen and John Greidanus, Clinton; Gary Bolger, Varna; Glenda and Brad Duff, Seaforth and Kim Bolger and Mike Davy, Hamilton.

 

Bill will be sadly missed by 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. He was the dear brother of Shirley Wood.

 

Bill was predeceased by brother Ken Patterson and brother-in-law Darrell Wood.

 

At Bill’s request, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at Ball’s Cemetery, Auburn on Sunday, Aug. 18 at 11 a.m. followed by a celebration of life at the Lions Park Pavilion, Blyth from 1-4 p.m.
