Arnold Dawson

At Stratford General Hospital on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, Arnold Dawson of Wingham passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the age of 68.

 

The devoted husband of Connie (McCool) Dawson, Arnold was the adored dad of Paul and Corrie Dawson of Blyth and Shauna Dawson and Wade Benoit of Cambridge and the proud papa of Zachary, Laura, Ryan and Logan.

 

Arnold was the cherished son of Roy Dawson of Huronlea Home for the Aged in Brussels and the late Matilda (Hutchison) Dawson.
He was the loving brother of Donna and Allan Snowden of Wingham, the dear son-in-law of Gwen McCool of Mitchell and the late Paul McCool and brother-in-law of Beth McCool of Cambridge and Dan McCool of Mitchell.

 

Visitation was held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Friday, Sept. 26 and the funeral service was held at the Wingham Columbus Centre on Saturday, Sept. 27. Arnold’s final resting place is Wingham Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Arnold to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation (Oncology Unit) or the Wingham United Church would be appreciated by his family.
