Betty Richardson

At Wingham and District Hospital on Monday, Aug. 10, 2026, Betty Richardson of Wingham passed away at the age of 101.

 

The former Betty Smith was the beloved wife of the late Harry Feagan (1957) and the late Wallace Richardson (1995). She was the mother of Barb Feagan of Edmonton, Alberta; Bonnie Minto of Trenton, and Kendra and Robert Peevey of Gull Lake, Alberta, and the grandmother of Tanya, Tylor, Scott, Jerry and Carl and great-grandmother of many. 

 

Betty will be missed by her chosen family and faithful caregivers Ralph and Nancy Campbell and their family, her special and long-time friend Jo English and also by her extended family members. She was predeceased by her parents Goldie and Lavina (Schaefer) Smith.

 

Visitation will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Wingham, on Friday, Aug. 14 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment will take place at the Culross-Teeswater Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church basement.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
