Bring the Heat tournament set for this weekend

This weekend, Clinton and Goderich will jointly host the annual Bring the Heat tournament, hosted by the Huron Heat and its U11 teams, bringing girls’ hockey teams from all over the region to Huron County.
Action begins for the locals on Friday morning, with the U11 C Van Amersfoort Heat playing the Lucknow/Wingham 86ers in Goderich, followed by a game later that afternoon with the Walkerton Capitals, also in Goderich.
Also in Goderich that day, the U11 A Nichol Heat will play the Barrie Sharks in the morning and then the Woodstock Wildcats in the afternoon while, over in Clinton, the U11 B Carroll team will play the Stratford Aces and the Mount Forest Rams that day.
On Saturday, the U11 A Nichol team will play the Saugeen Shores Storm, the U11 B Carroll Heat will play the Lambeth Lancers and the U11 C Van Amersfoort team will play the Twin Centre Hericanes and the Upper Maitland Mustangs, all in Goderich as the teams will be playing with hopes of earning a spot in the championship round later that day and into Sunday.
In regular season play this weekend, tonight, Friday, Oct. 17, the U18 C Jinks Heat will host the Lucan Irish in Hensall, the U15 C Keller Heat will play the Mount Forest Rams in Goderich and the U15 B Calder Heat will play the St. Thomas Panthers in Seaforth.
The next day, the U13 B McCann Heat will be in Wellesley to play the Twin Centre Hericanes, the U13 C Walt Heat will play the Lambeth Lancers on the road and the U18 B Wood Heat will also make the trip to Wellesley to play their Twin Centre Hericane counterparts. At home, the U18 BB Wilson Heat will play the Belmont Blazers in Clinton.
On Sunday, the U15 A Jarmuth Heat will play the Chatham Crush in Clinton and the U13 C Walt Heat will welcome the Ilderton Jets to Brussels.
Also at home, the U18 B Heat will host the Lucan Irish in Seaforth and the Senior C team will play Monkton in Brussels, while, on the road, the U13 HL O’Donnell Heat will play the Irish in Lucan, the U15 C Keller Heat will play the St. Marys Rock and the U15 BB Prescott Heat will play the Lucan Irish.
The following weekend, on Friday, Oct. 24, the U18 C Jinks Heat will host the Lambeth Lancers in Hensall and the U15 B Calder team will play the Jets in Ilderton.
Then, on Saturday, Oct. 25 and Sunday, Oct. 26, the newly-expanded Huron Heat Day will again take over the Central Huron Community Complex in Clinton with 14 home games scheduled for Saturday and a handful more on the slate for Sunday.
First, the U7 Smith team will take on an opponent that has yet to be determined. This is also the case for the U9 HL Ryan and U11 C Van Amersfoort Heat teams.
The U9 C VanBakel Heat will play the Lucan Irish, followed by a game between the U9 B Devereaux-Gaynor Heat and the Woolwich Wild, the U13 B McCann Heat and the Stratford Aces and the U13 A Mahon Heat and the St. Thomas Panthers.
The U11 A Nichol Heat will play the Stratford Aces, the U13 HL O’Donnell team will play the South Huron Sabres, the U13 C Walt Heat will play the Central Perth Predators, the U11 HL Reid Heat will play the South Huron Sabres, the U11 B Carroll Heat will play the Twin Centre Hericanes, the U18 B Wood Heat will play the Stratford Aces and the U18 BB Wilson Heat will take on the London Devilettes to close out play for the day.
The lone road game for the organization that day will see the U15 A Jarmuth Heat head to Windsor to play the Wildcats.
On Sunday, Oct. 26, the U15 B Calder Heat will play the West Oxford Inferno, the U18 C Jinks Heat will play the Ilderton Jets, the U15 A Jarmuth Heat will play the Lambton Attack and the U15 BB Prescott Heat will play an exhibition game with the Wilmot Wolverines, all in Clinton, to round out the Huron Heat Day weekend.
Also that day, the U11 B Carroll Heat will play the Mount Forest Rams, the U13 B McCann Heat will play the St. Thomas Panthers, the U11 HL Reid Heat will play the St. Thomas Panthers and the Senior C team will play Elma Logan, all in Brussels. The U15 C Keller Heat will play the Woodstock Wildcats in Clinton and then, on the road, the U11 A Nichol Heat will play the St. Thomas Panthers, the U13 A Mahon Heat will also play the St. Thomas Panthers, the U18 B Wood Heat will play the Lambton Attack, the U11 C Van Amersfoort Heat will play the South Huron Sabres and the U13 C Walt team will play the North Middlesex Junior Stars.
Looking back at the action of the previous week, on Sunday, Oct. 12, the U13 C Walt Heat lost to the London Devilettes by a score of 3-0 on the road and the U11 B Carroll Heat lost to the South Huron Sabres by a score of 5-3, also on the road. The U13 A Mahon Heat was also in Stratford to play the Aces, but a score for that game was unavailable at press time.
On Saturday, Oct. 11, the U11 C Van Amersfoort Heat beat the Upper Maitland Mustangs in Goderich by a score of 7-0, the U13 C Walt Heat beat the Woodstock Wildcats in Seaforth by a score of 2-1 and the U15 BB Prescott Heat lost to the Southpoint Stars by a score of 3-0 on the road.
Also that day, the U13 HL O’Donnell Heat lost to the Central Perth Predators by a score of 2-1, the U15 A Jarmuth Heat beat the Chatham Crush on the road by a score of 2-1, the U15 BB Prescott Heat beat the Lakers in Wallaceburg by a score of 6-1, the U18 C Jinks team lost to the Woodstock Wildcats on the road by a score of 7-1 and the U18 BB Wilson Heat lost to the Woodstock Wildcats at home in Clinton by a score of 4-0.
The U13 HL O’Donnell Heat beat the Sarnia Lady Sting on the road on Friday, Oct. 10 by a score of 1-0, while the U18 C Jinks Heat, at home in Hensall, lost to the St. Marys Rock by a score of 1-0.
This week, the U11 A Nichol Heat played the London Devilettes and the U18 B Wood Heat played the Ilderton Jets, both on the road on Thursday, Oct. 16, but scores for those games were not available at press time.
