Brussels Bangers gaining in Huron County Fastball League standings

The Sebringville Sting remain atop the Huron County Fastball League standings, but just one point behind are the locals, the Brussels Bangers, with a record of 4-2 and eight points, compared to the Sting’s record of 4-1-1 and nine points.

 

The Fullarton A’s are also in the mix with seven points and a record of 3-1-1, followed by the Belmore Stingers and Wroxeter/Wingham Rippers, both at six points, with a record of 3-1 and 3-2, respectively.

 

The Walton Brewers, Mitchell Mets and Brussels Tigers all sit with four points each with records of 2-4, 2-1 and 2-4, respectively, followed by three teams sitting at two points each: the Milverton Millwrights (1-4), the Monkton Muskrats (1-3) and the Goderich Grizzlies (1-2).

 

In the week that was, the Brussels Bangers were in Sebringville to play the Sting on June 28, beating them by a score of 8-0. Also that day, the Brussels Tigers played a double-header with the Rippers in Wingham that didn’t go Brussels’ way, as the Tigers lost both by scores of 12-0 and 20-0.

 

On June 26, a game between the Wroxeter/Wingham Rippers and the Monkton Muskrats was postponed, as was a game between the Belmore Stingers and Goderich Grizzlies in Goderich, while the Fullarton A’s and the Sebringville Sting played to a 3-3 tie in Sebringville and the Brussels Bangers beat the Walton Brewers that night by a score of 14-3.

 

On June 25, the Brussels Tigers beat the Millwrights in Milverton by a score of 9-4.

 

The Goderich Grizzlies were scheduled to play the Sting in Sebringville on Tuesday night, but a score for that game was unavailable at press time.

 

On July 3, the Goderich Grizzlies will host the Milverton Millwrights and the Sebringville Sting will be in Monkton to play the Muskrats. The Rippers will host the Goderich Grizzlies in Wingham on July 5 and, on July 7, the Belmore Stingers will be in Walton to play the Brewers and the Mitchell Mets will travel to Sebringville for a game with the Sting.

 

On July 8, the Walton Brewers will play the Tigers in Brussels and the Brussels Bangers will be in Mitchell to play the Mets.
