There were no goals scored in overtime, sending the game to a shootout, where the Radars could not solve Walkerton goaltender Noah Ricci. Clinton sent Nathan Bloemberg, Jack O’Donnell and Denver Mason to the shootout, but none of them could find the back of the net. For Walkerton, Kolby Reay and Dylan Becker were stopped by Clinton goaltender Jack Dalrymple on the first and third shots, respectively, but Jacob Carroll scored on the second shot, winning the game for the Capitals.
The next day, the team travelled north on London Road to Wingham to take on the Ironmen, who they would end up beating by a score of 3-1.
