Elda Catherine (Keith) Nethery

Peacefully, at her home, on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026, Mrs. Elda Catherine (Keith) Nethery of Wingham, passed away at the age of 91.

 

The cherished wife of the late Terry Nethery (2016), Elda was the loving mother of Elizabeth and Rick O’Neil, Keith and Suzanne Nethery, Ruth and Dan McDonald, Esther and John Sizeland, and Murray Nethery.

 

She was the dear grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of three.

 

Elda was the sister-in-law of Bev Kennedy, and Gloria Hedley.

 

She was predeceased by parents, William and Elizabeth (Stobo) Keith, brothers Jack (Mary) Keith, Gordon (Helen) Keith, and Bruce (Helen) Keith, sisters Jean (Leonard) Bannerman, and Grace (Ken) Townsend, in-laws Shirley (Lee) Boucher, Ferne (David) Hedley, Peggy (Jim) Smith, Roger Kennedy, and Jane Ann Nethery.

 

Visitation will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, on Friday, Sept. 11 from 4-6 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, Blyth on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 2 p.m.

 

Interment will take place at Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Trinity Anglican Church, Blyth or Wingham Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
