Gladys Van Egmond

Peacefully with close family and friends nearby at the Clinton Public Hospital, on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, Mrs. Gladys Van Egmond of Clinton passed away in her 91st year. 

 

The beloved wife of the late John Thomas “Jack” Van Egmond (2012), Glady was the dearly-loved mother of Susan Van Egmond, and dear sister of Margaret Lupton. She will also be missed by her niece, nephew, cousins and all extended families. 

 

Gladys was predeceased by her parents, William (Bill) and Mabel Collins, and her brother-in-law Fred Van Egmond (Barbara). 
Gladys was a community-minded person, always giving of her time and talents to many organizations, including the Huron Pioneer Thresher and Hobby Association Inc., the Van Egmond Foundation, Thursday Tunes, the Clinton United Church, the Perth-Huron Jersey Club, and the Clinton Spring Fair. 

 

Gladys was well known for her love of music and gardening. 

 

Friends were received at Falconer Funeral Homes, Clinton, on Monday June 9, followed by the funeral service at Clinton United Church on Tuesday June 10. Interment will be at Clinton Cemetery. 

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Van Egmond Foundation or the Clinton United Church would be greatly appreciated.
