Gloria Jean McWhirter (Glazier)

Gloria Jean McWhirter (Glazier) of Brussels passed away peacefully with family by her side at Wingham District Hospital, Nov. 28, 2025 at the age of 81.

 

She will be sadly missed by her beloved companion, Douglas Murray. Gloria was the loving mother of Isabel White (Len), Tracey McArter (Paul), Kim Higgins, and the stepmother of Connie Murray (Brent) and Donnie Murray. 

 

Gloria was the cherished grandmother of Curtis (Michelle), Kane (Jess), Ryan (Taylor), Konrad, Kody, Taylor, and Olivia and the great-grandmother of Delaney, Briar, Cooper, Colson, Addison, Jack, Leo, Evelyn, Berkley and Ellianna. Also surviving is her nephew, Brian (Sandra) Hunking and family.

 

Gloria was predeceased by her late husband Elvin (1986), her parents, William and Myrtle Glazier, beloved sister Dorothy and brother-in-law Gerald Hunking, brother Rawleigh and sister-in-law Pat Glazier, son-in-law Ken Higgins (2025) and Della Murray.
Gloria loved to camp until the last few years and you may have seen her riding her bike around or stopping to visit for a coffee with one of her friends but most of all she loved her family.
