Goderich's beaches offer fun, exercise, relaxation

As of last year, the Goderich beaches received a new exercise centre at the Rotary Cove Beach.

The Rotary Club of Goderich, looking to inspire a more active lifestyle, installed outdoor exercise equipment including an elliptical, a fixed cycle and sit-up bench to mark the 150th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation and is called the Rotary Fitness Trail.

Rotary Cove Beach is the southernmost beach in Goderich.

Other popular events at the beach include the Canada Day Fireworks Display, scheduled for June 30 at dusk, the Circle City Beach Cruize set for June 27 and the Goderich Triathlon which is set for August 19.

Nearby Lions’ Harbour Park is also home to events throughout the summer including Circle City Cruize Nights, every second Wednesday from May 23 to September 12, the Goderich Children’s Festival June 30 and the annual Goderich Lions’ Club Beef Barbecue scheduled for July 1. For more information and a complete schedule of events throughout the town, visit www.goderich.ca.
