Horse racing returns to Clinton Raceway after unforeseen two-week delay

After an unforeseen two-week delay, the Clinton Raceway season began on Sunday without access for the spectators to the bleacher seating in the new grandstand, but that did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of the day. Fans bet just under $83,000 over the course of the day’s 11 races, while Central Huron Secondary School, as the trackside fundraiser for the day, was able to raise over $5,000 as well.     (John Stephenson photo)
