Hugh Jackson

Hugh Jackson passed away peacefully with family by his side at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025 at the age of 85. 

 

The beloved husband of the late Margaret Jackson (2005), Hugh was the loving father of Sandy (Wayne) Henry of Brussels, and the late Nancy Jackson (2019). He was the cherished grandfather of Christopher, Craig (Jen) and great-grandfather of Owen, Trenton, Gage, Malynne and Makinley. 

 

He is survived by his daughter-in-law Sally Summerfield, brother Jack Jackson, brother-in-law Dick Fines and sister-in-law Flo Burton.   
Hugh was predeceased by his brother and sister Donald Jackson and Jean Fines. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. 
Hugh followed his passion and farmed most of his life on the 10th of Elma. He will be missed by his long-time neighbours and friends. 

 

Visitation was held at Brenneman Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 25 and continued on Friday, Sept. 26 at Atwood Presbyterian Church from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to CNIB or Listowel Memorial Hospital.
