Huron Heat Day takes over Clinton arena for another year

It was a busy weekend for the various Huron Heat teams, as the Central Huron Community Complex played host to the annual Huron Heat Day, in addition to a full slate of regular season action for the local girls.
As far as weekend action is concerned, beginning on Friday night, the U18 C Jinks Heat tied the Lambeth Lancers at two in Hensall, while the U15 B Calder team lost to the Jets in Ilderton by a score of 1-0.
On Saturday, things got busy in Clinton. The U9 C VanBakel and U9 HL Ryan teams shared the ice to play a pair of Lucan Irish teams and the U9 B Devereaux-Gaynor Heat played the Woolwich Wild, but scores were not kept for those games. Later into the morning and early afternoon, the U13 B McCann Heat beat the Stratford Aces by a score of 2-0, the U11 C Van Amersfoort Heat lost to the Saugeen Shores Storm by a score of 2-1, the U13 A Mahon team was shut out by the St. Thomas Panthers by a score of 4-0, the U11 A Nichol Heat lost to the Stratford Aces by a score of 3-0 and the U13 HL O’Donnell Heat lost to the South Huron Sabres by a score of 1-0.
The U13 C Walt Heat fell to the Central Perth Predators by a score of 2-1, the U11 HL Reid Heat lost to the South Huron Sabres by a score of 3-2, the U11 B Carroll Heat registered one of the few wins of the day with a 3-0 victory over the Lambeth Lancers, the U18 B Wood team ended its game with the Stratford Aces in a scoreless draw and the U18 B Wilson Heat lost to the London Devilettes by a score of 2-0.
In the lone away game of the day, the U15 A Jarmuth Heat travelled to Windsor to play the Wildcats and won by a score of 4-0.
The next day, action continued in Clinton. The U15 B Calder Heat ended its game with the West Oxford Inferno in a scoreless draw, while the U18 C Jinks Heat lost to the Ilderton Jets by a score of 6-1 and the U15 A Jarmuth Heat beat the Lambton Attack by a score of 5-0.
Also on Sunday, Oct. 26, the U11 B Carroll Heat lost to the Mount Forest Rams in Brussels by a score of 3-1 and the U13 B McCann Heat beat the St. Thomas Panthers by a score of 2-1, also in Brussels.
On the road, the U11 C Van Amersfoort Heat beat the South Huron Sabres by a score of 2-0, the U13 C Walt Heat shut out the North Middlesex Junior Stars 3-0, the U11 A Nichol team beat the St. Thomas Panthers 3-1, the U13 A Mahon Heat beat the St. Thomas Panthers 2-1 and the U18 B Wood Heat fell to the Lambton Attack by a score of 5-2.
The U11 HL Reid Heat took on the St. Thomas Panthers and the Senior C team played Elma Logan, both in Brussels, while the U15 C Keller Heat hosted the Woodstock Wildcats in Clinton, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time.
On Tuesday, Oct. 28, the U15 B Calder Heat hosted the St. Marys Rock in Seaforth and then, on Thursday, Oct. 30, the U13 B McCann Heat played the Lambeth Lancers, also in Seaforth, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time.
Looking ahead, Saturday, Nov. 1 is another busy day for the Heat organization, beginning with a game between the U11 C Van Amersfoort Heat at the Stratford Aces in Goderich. Also that day, the U9 B Devereaux-Gaynor Heat will host the Guelph Junior Gryphons, the U13 C Walt Heat will play the Bluewater Hawks and the U13 HL O’Donnell Heat will play the Lucan Irish, all in Seaforth. The U18 B Wood Heat will also play the Chatham-Kent Crush in Clinton that night.
On the road, the U15 BB Prescott Heat will play the Southpoint Stars, the U11 B Carroll Heat will play the St. Marys Rock, the U15 A Jarmuth Heat will take on the London Devilettes, the U11 HL Reid Heat will play the St. Thomas Panthers, the U15 BB Prescott Heat will take on the Lakeshore Lightning, the U18 C Jinks Heat will tangle with the Wilmot Wolverines, the U15 C Keller team will play the Central Perth Predators, the U18 BB Wilson Heat will play the Sarnia Lady Sting and the U15 B Calder Heat will take on the London Devilettes.
The next day, Sunday, Nov. 2, the U9 C VanBakel and U9 HL Ryan Heat teams will play two Lambton Attack teams, the U13 A Mahon Heat will play the London Devilettes and the U15 A Jarmuth Heat will play the Lakeshore Lightning, all in Clinton.
The U15 C Keller Heat will be on the road to play the Stratford Aces and the U11 HL Reid Heat will play the Sabres in South Huron. The U11 A Nichol Heat will play the Lambeth Lancers on the road, the U13 B McCann Heat will play the Aces in Stratford, the U15 BB Prescott Heat will take on the Lakeshore Lightning on the road and the U18 BB Wilson Heat will play the Wildcats in Windsor.
Also that night, the U18 B Wood Heat will host the Twin Centre Hericanes in Seaforth and the Senior C team will play Milverton in Brussels.
The next night, Monday, Nov. 3, the U11 B Carroll Heat will be on the road to play the Twin Centre Hericanes and the U13 HL O’Donnell Heat will also be on the road for a game with the South Huron Sabres.
On Wednesday, Nov. 5, the U15 A Jarmuth Heat will play the Bluewater Hawks on the road and then, on Thursday, Nov. 6, the U13 B McCann Heat will play the Woodstock Wildcats in Seaforth.
Then, on the weekend of Nov. 7-9, the U13 A Mahon, U15 A Jarmuth and U18 B Wood Heat teams will all travel east for the annual Waterloo Fall Challenge Cup tournament with games beginning on Friday morning.
