Jeremiah "Jerry" Patrick Michael Cronin
Our dad, Jeremiah Patrick Michael Cronin of RR2, Dublin, was reunited with the love of his life, Heather, and his son, Joseph, on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025 at the age of 79. While at a communion service at Goderich Place in Goderich, he passed in the presence of the Lord immediately after receiving Jesus in the Eucharist.
The cherished husband of the late Heather (Dubrick) Cronin (2021) for over 53 years, Jerry was the loving dad of the late Joseph, Dave and Carole-Michelle, and Mike and Amy. He was the proud grandpa of Dafydd, Owen, Malina, Davita, Evan, and Adelina; Alyssa (Aidan), Tyler (Katie), Kyle (Maria), Liam, Emmy, and Sam and great-grandpa of Sophia, Blake, and Shiloh.
Jerry was the dear brother and brother-in-law of Mary Smith, Stephen and Nancy Cronin, Karen Cronin, Joanne Regier, Dennis Dubrick, and Jane Wilkie. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Eileen (Eckert) Cronin, brother Jim Cronin, brothers-in-law Leo Smith, Dave Regier, and Ross Wilkie, and sister-in-law Gayle Dubrick.
Jerry was a proud farmer at heart, with a lifelong love for his livestock and the land. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting toy tractors and attending auctions in search of unique finds.
Together with Heather, he enjoyed exploring the back roads of Huron and Perth Counties, often ending at the beach in Goderich to share their love of the ships and sunsets. They enjoyed visiting parts of Canada and their trip to Ireland to retrace his roots.
Guided by his faith, he built a life centred around the things that mattered most: family, farming, and the values that connected them all.
Visitation was held at Haskett Funeral Home, Seaforth on Sunday, Sept. 7 and Jerry’s Funeral Mass was held at St. James Catholic Church, Seaforth on Monday, Sept. 8. Interment took place at St. Columban Cemetery.
Donations to the Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation or the St. Columban Cemetery would be appreciated by the family. Condolences may be forwarded through www.haskettfh.com.
