Ken Hopper

At Wingham and District Hospital on Thursday, May 8, 2025, Ken Hopper of Belgrave passed away suddenly at the age of 71.

 

The devoted husband of Sandy Huether, Ken was the cherished dad of Julie Hopper and Travis Hopper. He was the son-in-law of Brian and Dianne Huether, brother-in-law of Sheri and Jeff Hamilton, the brother of Brian and Lois Hopper, Marj and Peter Liddy, Wayne and Linda Hopper, Gary and Donna Hopper, and Debbie and Roger Hopper. Ken was the special uncle of Brooke and Cole Hamilton. 

 

Ken will be missed by his many extended family members, as well as by his neighbours and countless friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Jean.

 

A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at the Wingham Sportsmen’s Club on Friday, May 16 from 1-5 p.m. with words of remembrance at 3 p.m. This event will be a come-and-go event. 

 

Ken wouldn’t want any fuss, just good company and laughs. Come as you are. Wear a plaid shirt, jeans, work boots, or whatever feels right to you.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Belgrave Community Centre, Wingham Sportsmen’s Club or the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
