Linda Garland presented with Brussels Citizen of the Year Award

Last week at the Brussels Agricultural Society's first regular meeting of the year, Linda Garland was presented with her Citizen of the Year Award for the Brussels area. North Huron Publishing Board Member Ralph Watson did the honours.

 

Garland was chosen as the winner thanks to her extensive work in the community with organizations like the Brussels Agricultural Society, the 5R's Thrift Shop, Soup and More 2 and more, as well as missionary work abroad that has seen her travel extensively and raise funds for those in need in other parts of the world.
