Lloyd Reid Howatt

Peacefully, at Clinton Public Hospital, on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, Lloyd Reid Howatt of Clinton passed away in his 92nd year. 

 

The beloved husband for 68 years of June Howatt (née Reay), Lloyd was the dear father of Leslie (Les) Howatt of Clinton. He was the brother and brother-in-law of Carman and Ruth Howatt of Clinton, Murray and Joan Howatt of Blyth and Eleanor MacLean of Durham. 

 

Lloyd was predeceased by his parents, George and Roberta Howatt, and his sister Irene and her husband Arnold Storey.

 

Lloyd was employed by Lavis Contracting and worked there for over 40 years. 

 

A private family interment will be held at Blyth Union Cemetery.

 

A public, come-and-go celebration of life was held in the auditorium of Clinton United Church on Wednesday, Nov. 26 from 1-4 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Clinton Public Hospital Foundation or Clinton United Church would be greatly appreciated.
