Lois Lorraine (née Vick) Dobson

Lois Lorraine (née Vick) Dobson of Listowel passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side, on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025 in her 75th year. 

 

The wife of Jim Dobson, Lois was the mother of Rob Williams of Gowanstown, Lesley Heipel and Bob Wilkieson of Harriston, Terry and Tannis Williams of Wroxeter, Heather Dobson and Will Sawyers of Shelburne, Tammy and Jeff Cronin of Glenboro, Manitoba, and Kim Dobson and Sean Porter of Thamesford.  Lois will be sadly missed by 16 grandchildren, and she had her first great-grandchild on the way. 

 

She was the sister of Don and Pat Vick of Listowel, and sister-in-law of Allan Dobson of Palmerston, Ruth and Wayne Ward of St. Thomas, Donna and Roger Smith of Simcoe, Norm Dobson of Listowel, and Darlene and Kevin Nichol of Tottenham.  Lois is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

 

Lois was predeceased by her parents, Leslie and Aldeen (Ducklow) Vick, brother Bob Vick and his wife Pat, parents-in-law Bill and Helen Dobson, and sister-in-law Barb Dobson.

 

A private family service will be held, with interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ethel. A public celebration of Lois’ life will be held at Parkview Gardens (Listowel Legion) on Friday, Nov. 7 from 1-3 p.m. 

 

Memorial donations to the Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
