Londesborough Lions host annual Duck Race
On Sunday, the Londesborough Lions Club held its annual Duck Race, raising funds for community betterment. Six-hundred rubber ducks were released into the stream that runs along Trueman Street, heading east, all in an effort to see who would be the fastest, earning their owner a cool $500.
That person was Lauren Vanderwal of Clinton, who purchased the winning duck. Prizes were also handed out for the second- and third-place ducks, in addition to the last-place duck, also known as the lame duck. (Shawn Loughlin photo)
