Mae Nellie Ebel

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mae Nellie Ebel on Oct. 13 at Alexandra Hospital in Ingersoll in her 99th year.

 

The loving wife of the late Louis (2005) for 56 years, Mae was the proud mom of Kathy (Terry) Beemer, Jeff (Carolyn) Ebel, and Paul Ebel, the grandma of Terri (Andrew), Cassandra (Andrew) and Colton and great-grandmother of Noah, Calleigh, Thomas and Liam.

 

She was predeceased by her infant son Brad (1958).

 

Mae came from a family of 13 and was the last surviving member of the Dursts.

 

Mae was the matriarch of her family and will be missed by many. She was born and raised in Wroxeter, meeting Louis in a diner in Stratford and then starting her life with him. They moved to Brussels with Mae becoming a member of Melville Presbyterian Church, the Rebekah Lodge and helping out at the funeral home. She was a friend to all and always there to listen.

 

Friends and family were invited to Melville Presbyterian Church on Monday, Oct. 19 for visitation followed by the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations to your local hospital would be appreciated.
