Marjorie Cook

Peacefully at Wingham and District Hospital on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, Marjorie Cook of Wingham passed away at the age of 88.

 

The cherished mother of Leesa and Allan Kerr of Wroxeter, Marjorie was the loving grandma of Brandon and Shelley Kerr, Justin Kerr, Travis and Bev Kerr and Matthew and Samantha Kerr and adored the great-grandma of Adelyn, James, Deklan, Jevyn, Rory, Bishop, Ellis, Peyton and Nolyn. 

 

Marjorie will be deeply missed by her beloved friend Verna Steffler and her family, whose bond with Marjorie was that of sisters.
Marjorie was predeceased by her parents, Harvey and Dorothy (Flynn) Cook, and brother Robert Cook.

 

Visitation was held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Jan. 15 from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at noon. A reception followed at the Wingham Columbus Centre.

 

Interment will take place in the spring at Mount Zion Cemetery, Chatsworth.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham Horticultural Society (cheques only), St. Paul’s Trinity Anglican Church or the North Huron Community Food Share would be appreciated.
