Murray David Irwin

At Wingham and District Hospital on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, Murray David Irwin of Belgrave passed away at the age of 70.

 

The husband of Lillian (née Thomas) Irwin of Belgrave, Murray was the father of Mike (April) Irwin and Richard (Nicole) Irwin and grandpa of Myles, Alexa and Wesley all of Belgrave.

 

He will be missed by his step-children Benjamin (Kirsten) Day, Jonathan Day and Julianne Day as well as their children Mackenzie, Mason and Marek and Jacob, Emily, Jack and Bradley.

 

He was the brother of Tom Irwin of Edmonton; Brenda (Wayne) Jones of Summerside, Prince Edward Island; Colleen Irwin of Bracebridge; Lorna (Jim) Ryder of Oro-Medonte; Kevin Irwin of London; Bruce and Jennie Irwin of Saskatoon, and Laura Roby of London.

 

Murray was predeceased by his parents: Charles Wellington and Anna Elizabeth (Wilson) Irwin.

 

A celebration of Murray’s life will be held at the Belgrave Community Centre on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 1-4 p.m. Interment will take place at Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
