Neil Lowe Hemingway

Neil Lowe Hemingway, 72, of Stratford, and formerly of Brussels, passed away peacefully at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth with family by his side, on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025. 

 

The beloved husband of 51 years of Donna Hemingway (née Reese), Neil was the loving father of Joel Hemingway (Kim), and the cherished grandfather of Haley and Andie. Neil will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Sharon Whittaker (Dennis), and his brother, Peter Hemingway (Marlene). 

 

He was predeceased by his parents, Doug and Wilma (Lowe) Hemingway. Neil dedicated his career to agriculture, operating a hog and cash crop farm near Brussels for over 35 years before transitioning off the farm to work in the agriculture commodities trading business. 

 

He had a passion for cycling, was an avid curler and recently found a love for pickleball and RVing. 

 

We will miss his quick wit, steady demeanor and his quiet love and kindness. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Neil’s life will take place on Sunday, Dec. 7, from 1-4 p.m. at the Stratford Golf and Country Club with remarks to take place at 2 p.m.
