Phyllis Helen (Rich) Szusz

Phyllis Helen (Rich) Szusz passed away peacefully at Huronview Home for the Aged on Thursday May 15, 2025, at 87 years of age.

 

She had lived there for two-and-a-half years, and at Goderich Place before that. 

 

She was born on Nov. 4, 1937, in Chatham, Ontario, and lived most of her young life in Thamesville.  

 

She married Frank Szusz on Feb. 18, 1956, and they lived in Windsor, and then Maidstone before moving to Hullett Township to farm on the 13th. She and Frank raised and are now survived by five children: Bob and his wife Marsha, Janet and Larry Young, Laurie and her husband Don Ropp, Shannon Neil, and Beth and her husband Jon. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  

 

She was predeceased by her sister Marion, and her parents Garnet and Ruby Rich.  

 

The family would like to thank the staff for the wonderful care Mom received in her last years at Huronview. 

 

Friends were received at the Falconer Funeral Homes, Clinton, on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at noon. Interment will be at Blyth Union Cemetery.  

 

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
