Robert “Bob” Machan
Robert “Bob” Machan of Blyth passed away peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre - University Hospital on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 in his 84th year.
The cherished husband of Theresa (Bannon) for over 56 years, Bob was the loving dad of Rose Ann and Kevin Adams, Debbie and the late Garry Caswell, Brian Machan and Shelly Arora-Machan, Mark and Lisette Machan, and Korey Machan and Sarah Williamson.
He was the proud grandpa of Courtney, Gavin, Cody, Holleigh, Reid, Amber, and Cooper, and the dear brother and brother-in-law of Ethel Walker, Mary and Bob Fotheringham, Shirley Turner, Don and Linda Machan, Marie Palin, and Gary Bannon.
Bob will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Selena Machan, brothers-in-law Ed Turner and Jim Palin and sister-in-law Sandra Bannon.
Bob was a country man through and through: simple, steady and proud to live life that way. He worked in construction for over 40 years and could most often be found behind the wheel of his favourite loader.
Bob was a dedicated man; devoted to his family, his work and his faith. He had a good sense of humour, a green thumb in the garden, and a love for cards, bingo nights, game shows, and the occasional trip to the casino.
Bob lived a life rooted in the things that mattered most, and he wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Visitation was held at Haskett Funeral Home, Seaforth, on Monday, July 28 followed by Bob’s Funeral Mass at St. James Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 29. Interment was at St. James Catholic Cemetery, Seaforth.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Clinton Public Hospital Foundation or the London Health Sciences Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Condolences may be forwarded online through www.haskettfh.com.
