Robert Stephen Thompson
Robert Stephen Thompson died peacefully at Clinton Public Hospital on Sunday, May 31, surrounded by family, after bravely facing illness with courage and his trademark humour.
Stephen was passionate about a number of intellectual pursuits throughout his life, including his accounting and farming businesses, agricultural economic policy, the study of classic rock and country oldies, the restoration of antique tractors, memorizing word-for-word Looney Tunes dialogue, and using his chainsaw as often as possible.
Stephen will be remembered as a teller of outlandish tales, a knower of obscure information, and the guy you could count on in a crisis by his children Mary and Robert Thompson, the “lady in his life”, Teri Pearson (as well as her children and grandchildren), his siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, and neighbours.
Many thanks to the doctors and staff at the Clinton Public Hospital for making his last moments comfortable.
The Thompson family will be throwing a party to celebrate Stephen in early July.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. Messages of condolence for the Thompson family are welcome online at falconerfuneralhomes.com
