Rodney Hickey

On Jan. 8, 2026, Rodney Hickey of Wingham passed away at the age of 78.

 

The beloved husband of Linda (Henderson) Hickey for 46 years, Rod was the father of Darin, Dwayne (Rhonda), Trevor (Jenna) and the late Darryl.

 

He was the grandpa of three granddaughters: Lauren (Jordan), Natasha (Dallas) and Alannah (Sam) and great-grandpa of two.
Rod was the dear brother of Lynn and Elva Hickey, Lyla Ann Harkness, Pam and Kalvin Fischer and Kevin and Margaret Hickey and the brother-in-law of Larry and Diane Henderson.

 

He was the son-in-law of Gertie Henderson.

 

Rod was predeceased by his parents, Bob and Lila (Evans) Hickey, brother Emerson Hickey, brother-in-law Ivan Harkness and father-in-law Murray Henderson.

 

Private arrangements have been entrusted to McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham. Interment will take place at Wingham Cemetery in the spring.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation or the North Huron Fire Department (please make cheques payable to the Township of North Huron) would be appreciated.
