Seaforth Centenaires hold two-games-to-one advantage over Elora Rocks in semi-finals
At press time, the Seaforth Centenaires held a two-games-to-one lead over the Elora Rocks in the Ontario Elite Hockey League semi-finals. This comes after the team lost the first game of the series in Seaforth on March 21 by a score of 4-1. The locals stormed back on Friday, March 27 in Elora, winning game two of the series by a score of 5-4 in three overtime periods and then triumphed in a Sunday matinee on March 29, above, in Seaforth by a score of 5-1.
The teams were due to meet again on Thursday, April 2 in Elora before returning to Seaforth on Saturday for an Easter weekend clash. The winner will face the winner of the Minto and Ripley semi-final series, which, at press time, was tied with each team having won two, to crown the winner of this year’s Paxton Trophy.
