Seaforth lifeguards swim hundreds of lengths to raise money for lesson subsidies
Savannah Rutledge, second from right, recently initiated a charity swimming relay to raise money for the Seaforth Lions and the club’s pool to help offset the cost of swimming lessons for those who can’t afford them, as well as two family memberships.
The group swam 25 kilometres in the pool (790 lengths), with Rutledge taking on 10 kilometres - the lion’s share. The endeavour raised $1,600. From left: Ashlyn Edwards, Mya Smale, Carli Vanden Hengel, Rutledge and Hannah Vink. (Shawn Loughlin photo)
