Six Huron Heat teams heading for Exeter's Pink on the Rink tournament

This weekend, six Huron Heat teams - U9 C, U9 HL, U11 B, U11 C, U13 C and U18 C - will head south to be part of the annual Exeter Pink on the Rink tournament.
All teams will begin play today, Friday, Dec. 5, starting with the U9 C Heat taking on the Upper Maitland Mustangs and the Mooretown Lady Flags, followed by Saturday games with the St. Marys Rock and Central Perth Predators. The U9 HL team will play the Lucan Irish and South Huron Sabres on Friday and the Bluewater Hawks and Ilderton Jets on Saturday.
The U11 B and C Heat teams will both be in action on Friday, playing the South Huron Sabres and Mooretown Lady Flags and the Central Perth Predators and Bluewater Hawks, respectively, before the U11 B Heat takes on the St. Marys Rock and the U11 C team plays Parkhill on Saturday.
The U13 C Heat will open play on Friday with games against Parkhill and the Wingham/Lucknow 86ers, followed by a Saturday game with the Lambeth Lancers.
The U18 C team will play the Upper Maitland Mustangs and the St. Marys Rock on Friday, followed by Saturday games with South Huron Sabres and West Oxford Inferno.
In other tournament action, the U13A, U15 A and U18 B Heat teams will be in Guelph for the annual Winter Classic tournament.
On Friday, the U13 A team will play the Clarington Flames and the Ayr Rockets, the U15 A Heat will play the Flamborough Falcons and the Oakville Hornets, while the U18 B Heat will take on the Belmont Blazers and the St. Catharines Junior Badgers.
On Saturday, the U13 A Heat will play the host Guelph Junior Gryphons, the U15 A Heat will play the Kitchener Lady Rangers and the U18 B team will take on the North Halton Twisters and the Woodstock Wildcats.
While there are many teams on the road for tournaments, there is still some regular season action on the schedule, beginning on Saturday when the U13 HL Heat take on the Bluewater Hawks on the road and the U11 HL Heat play the West Oxford Inferno, also on the road.
On Sunday, the U7 team will host the Ilderton Jets, the U15 BB Heat will play the Southpoint Stars and the U11 A Heat will play the Woodstock Wildcats, all in Clinton, while the U11 HL Heat will play the Lambeth Lancers in Brussels. On the road, the U15 B Heat will play the Bluewater Hawks, the U13 HL Heat will take on the Mooretown Lady Flags and the Senior C team will play Monkton.
On Thursday, Dec. 11, the U13 B Heat will host the London Devilettes in Seaforth.
Looking back, there was plenty of regular season action on the docket.
On Sunday, the U11 C Heat beat the Aces in Stratford by a score of 2-0, the U18 B Heat beat the Stratford Aces, also on the road, by a score of 1-0, the U13 A Heat lost to the Devilettes in London by a score of 3-0 and the U9 B Heat played the Ravens in Waterloo, but a score was unavailable at press time.
The U15 A Heat tied the Windsor Wildcats in Brussels at two, the U13 B Heat beat the Kitchener Lady Rangers 2-0 on the road and the U13 C Heat lost to the Central Perth Predators, also on the road, by a score of 4-1.
The game between the U11 HL Heat and the Sarnia Lady Sting in Brussels ended tied at one, the U15 C Heat lost to the Wildcats in Woodstock by a score of 2-1, the U18 BB Heat tied the Woodstock Wildcats at two on the road and the U18 C Heat lost to the West Oxford Inferno by a score of 7-0 in Clinton.
On Saturday, the U13 C Heat lost to the Lambeth Lancers 1-0, the U13 HL Heat beat the Sarnia Lady Sting by a score of 1-0 and the U9 B Heat played the Kitchener Lady Rangers, all in Seaforth, but a score for that game was unavailable at press time.
On the road that day, the U13 A Heat lost to the Southpoint Stars 2-0, the U11 A Heat tied the Lambton Attack at two, the U11 HL Heat lost to the Mooretown Lady Flags by a score of 1-0, the U13 B Heat tied the Wilmot Wolverines at one, the U15 B Heat tied the Windsor Wildcats at four, the U15 BB Heat beat the Wallaceburg Lakers by a score of 3-1, the U18 BB Heat beat the Sarnia Lady Sting by a score of 2-1 and the U18 C Heat lost to the St. Thomas Panthers by a score of 5-1. Also that day, the U9 C and U9 HL Heat teams played a pair of Lambton Attack teams in Watford, but scores for those games were not kept.
On Friday, the U11 A Heat beat the Walkerton Capitals by a score of 3-2 and the U15 B Heat lost to the London Devilettes by a score of 5-3, both in Seaforth.
Back on Monday, Nov. 24, the U15 C Heat travelled to Mitchell to play the Meteors, but lost by a score of 5-0.
In weekday action, the U15 C Heat was scheduled to play the South Bruce Blades in Teeswater on Wednesday, Dec. 3, but a score for that game was unavailable at press time.
