Three Huron Heat teams heading to Waterloo for Fall Challenge Cup

This weekend, the U13 A Mahon, U15 A Jarmuth and U18 B Wood Huron Heat teams will all be heading east to take part in the Waterloo Fall Challenge Cup - a harvest season tradition.
Play begins on Friday for the U13 A team, first versus the Ayr Rockets and then with a game against the Central York Panthers. The U15 A team will play the Grand River Mustangs and the Mooretown Lady Flags that day and the U18 B team will first play the Markham Stouffville Stars, followed by a contest with the Woolwich Wild.
The next day, the U13 A team will play the London Devilettes, the U15 A team will play the Woodstock Wildcats and the U18 B team will play the Stratford Aces with their eyes on Sunday championship round play.
In weekend regular season play, the U15 BB Prescott Heat will play the London Devilettes and the U15 B Calder Heat will play the Bluewater Hawks, both on Friday in Seaforth. The next day, the U9 C VanBakel Heat will play the Sarnia Lady Sting and the U11 C Van Amersfoort Heat will play the Walkerton Capitals, both in Seaforth.
Also that night, the U13 HL Heat O’Donnell team will play the St. Thomas Panthers and the U11 HL Reid Heat will play the Lambton Attack, both on the road, while the U18 BB Wilson Heat will host the Lakeshore Lightning in Clinton.
On Sunday, the U15 BB Prescott Heat will host the Lakeshore Lightning in Clinton, the U11 HL Reid Heat will play the Sarnia Lady Sting and the U13 B McCann Heat will play the London Devilettes, both on the road, and the U11 C Van Amersfoort Heat will welcome the Central Perth Predators to the Brussels, Morris and Grey Community Centre.
The U11 B Carroll team will play the Saugeen Shores Storm, the U18 BB Wilson Heat will play the Bluewater Hawks and the U15 B Calder team will play the St. Thomas Panthers, all on the road, while the Senior C team will play the Upper Maitland Mustangs in Brussels and the U15 C Keller team will play the Central Perth Predators in Clinton.
On Remembrance Day, the U13 A Mahon Heat will play the Stratford Aces in Seaforth.
Looking ahead to next weekend, it’s all about the tournaments. Four teams - the U13 B McCann, U13 C Walt, U15 B Calder and U18 C Jinks Heat - will be heading east for the Stratford Festival Cup tournament. The U18 BB Wilson Heat will be part of Barrie Sharkfest, the U11 HL Reid team will be taking part in the North Halton Tournament and the U13 HL O’Donnell team will play in the Owen Sound North Lights Lady Classic.
Looking back, on Monday night, the U13 HL O’Donnell Heat lost to the South Huron Sabres on the road by a score of 3-0 and the U11 B Carroll Heat took on the Twin Centre Hericanes, also on the road, but a score for that game was unavailable at press time.
On Sunday, the U9 C VanBakel and U9 HL Ryan Heat teams hosted a pair of Lambton Attack teams in Clinton, but scores were not kept for those games. Also in Clinton that day, the U13 A Mahon team ended its game with the London Devilettes in a scoreless draw and the U15 A Jarmuth Heat beat the Lakeshore Lightning by a score of 2-1.
Also that day, the U15 C Keller Heat lost to the Stratford Aces on the road by a score of 4-1 and the U11 HL Reid Heat, also on the road, beat the South Huron Sabres by a score of 4-0.
The U11 A Nichol Heat beat the Lancers in Lambeth by a score of 2-1, the U13 B McCann Heat lost in Stratford to the Aces by a score of 2-1, the U15 BB Prescott Heat tied the Lakeshore Lightning at one on the road and the U18 BB Wilson Heat shutout the Wildcats in Windsor 2-0.
The U18 B Wood Heat beat the Twin Centre Hericanes in Seaforth by a score of 4-2 and the Senior C team played Milverton in Brussels, but a score for that game was unavailable at press time.
One day earlier, on Saturday, Nov. 1, the U11 C Van Amersfoort Heat beat the Stratford Aces by a score of 3-0 in Goderich, the U13 C Walt Heat tied the Bluewater Hawks in Seaforth 3-3, the U15 BB Prescott team lost to the Southport Stars by a score of 6-1 on the road and the U13 HL O’Donnell Heat beat the Lucan Irish in Seaforth by a score of 5-0 and the U18 B Wood Heat beat the Chatham-Kent Crush in Clinton by a score of 2-1.
On the road that day, the U15 B Calder Heat lost to the London Devilettes by a score of 3-0, the U18 BB Wilson Heat beat the Sarnia Lady Sting by a score of 3-2, the U15 C Keller Heat beat the Central Perth Predators 3-0, the U18 C Jinks Heat lost to the Wilmot Wolverines by a score of 7-0, the U15 BB Prescott Heat tied the Lakeshore Lightning at two, the U11 HL Reid Heat tied the St. Thomas Panthers at one, the U15 A Jarmuth Heat tied the London Devilettes at two and the U11 B Carroll Heat beat the St. Marys Rock by a score of 4-0.
Back on Devil’s Night, Thursday, Oct. 30, the U13 B McCann Heat beat the Lambeth Lancers by a score of 3-2 at home in Seaforth and, on Tuesday, Oct. 28, the U15 B Calder Heat lost to the St. Marys Rock by a score of 5-1, also in Seaforth.
On Wednesday, Nov. 5, the U15 A Jarmuth Heat played the Bluewater Hawks on the road and, on Thursday, Nov. 6, the U13 B McCann Heat hosted the Woodstock Wildcats in Seaforth, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time.
